Celtic Close to Sealing Deal for Kawasaki Frontale's Shin Yamada!

Ka boetman! Exciting news for Celtic fans! Shin Yamada, the Japanese forward currently playing for Kawasaki Frontale, is reportedly on the verge of joining the Scottish club. Kawasaki Frontale themselves have confirmed that Yamada is leaving to pursue opportunities with an 'overseas club'.

The J-League club stated that Yamada departed on July 16th to finalise the necessary procedures for the transfer. They promised to provide further updates as soon as everything is officially confirmed. Before leaving, Yamada addressed supporters after the Emperor's Cup match against SC Sagamihara.

The 25-year-old has an impressive record, having scored 37 goals in 123 appearances for Kawasaki Frontale. He also recently made his debut for the Japanese national team against South Korea.

Idah Welcomes the Competition

Celtic striker Adam Idah isn't worried about the transfer rumours. Instead, he seems to be relishing the potential competition. With Kyogo Furuhashi and Nicolas Kuhn having left the club, Celtic is looking to bolster their attacking options.

Idah stated that he welcomes new signings as a challenge and an opportunity to improve his own game. "I don’t think anyone’s going to go into a club where there’s no other players in their position, so it’s something I’m obviously used to,” he said.

Rodgers Looking to Strengthen Attack

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to strengthen his attacking lineup after the departures of key players like Furuhashi and Kuhn. The potential arrival of Yamada would certainly add more firepower to the squad.

The transfer deal is rumoured to be around £1.5 million. If the deal goes through, Yamada will be competing with Idah for the coveted No.9 shirt. It promises to be an interesting battle for a place in the starting eleven!
