Key Winners of the Night
Mariah Carey received the Video Vanguard Award, presented by Ariana Grande, recognizing her profound impact on music videos and popular culture. Carey delivered a medley of hits, including "Heartbreaker," "Fantasy," "Obsessed," and "We Belong Together." She also took home her first-ever Moon Person for Best R&B Video for “Type Dangerous”.
Busta Rhymes was honored with the inaugural Rock the Bells Visionary Award. He delivered an energetic performance featuring a medley of his career hits, including "Break Ya Neck" and "What's the Scenario." He also paid tribute to the late MTV VJ Ananda Lewis for her support of hip-hop artists in the '90s.
Video of the Year
The biggest award of the night, Video of the Year, went to Ariana Grande for "brighter days ahead". The competition was fierce, with nominations including Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars, ROSÉ & Bruno Mars, Sabrina Carpenter, and The Weeknd & Playboi Carti.

Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars took home the award for Best Collaboration with "Die with a Smile".
