After a whopping 28 years, the DHL Stormers have unveiled a fresh, bold new logo! The Cape Town-based rugby team revealed their updated identity on Wednesday, aiming to spark even greater success as they compete in Europe's premier rugby tournaments.
What's Different?
Say goodbye to the iconic 'S' with the prominent lightning bolt. The new logo pays homage to the team's classic blue and white hoops and incorporates a subtle nod to the Cape Town Stadium. The lightning bolt remains, but in a more understated and sophisticated manner, blending seamlessly into the overall design.
The Stormers are riding high after their victory in the inaugural Vodacom United Rugby Championship and are determined to become consistent contenders for both the URC and the prestigious Investec Champions Cup titles. This rebrand signifies their ambition and commitment to excellence on the European stage.
The team also learned their fate for the 2025/26 Investec Champions Cup, being drawn into Pool Three. They'll face familiar foes, having previously battled these teams in the competition. Qualifying for the fourth consecutive season after finishing fifth in the 2024/25 Vodacom United Rugby Championship, the Stormers are ready to take on the challenge.
