The West Indies defeated Pakistan by five wickets in a rain-affected one-day international on Sunday, levelling the three-match series 1-1. Roston Chase and Justin Greaves were the heroes with the bat, guiding the Windies to victory in Tarouba.
Chasing a revised target after multiple rain delays, the West Indies stumbled early, but Sherfane Rutherford's explosive 45 off just 33 balls injected momentum into the innings. However, it was the cool and calculated partnership between Chase and Greaves that ultimately sealed the win. Chase scored a crucial 49, while Greaves remained unbeaten on 26, smashing some spectacular boundaries.
Chase fittingly finished the match, driving Hasan Ali through cover for four and celebrating the victory with a jubilant punch of the air. He was later named man of the match for his pivotal contribution.
"I'm happy with the win. We had to come in and level the series, so very pleased," Chase said after the match.
The decisive third and final match of the series will be played at the same venue on Tuesday. Expect another thrilling encounter as both teams battle it out for the series victory. Will Pakistan bounce back, or can the West Indies capitalize on their momentum? Don't miss the action!
