Important Information Regarding Grant Reviews
SASSA Senior Manager for Media Relations, Andile Tshona, has confirmed that the grant review process is ongoing. There's a possibility of payment delays for some beneficiaries in August. If affected, beneficiaries are urged to visit their local SASSA office to complete the review process. SMSes are being sent to those required to undergo the review, but due to technical issues, not everyone will receive a message.
"We would like to appeal to those affected to visit the Sassa local offices to undertake the review process," said Tshona.
It's crucial to ensure your personal details are up-to-date with SASSA for better communication. Beneficiaries unable to visit SASSA offices are encouraged to appoint procurators, also known as power of attorney’s, to act on their behalf.
SASSA is working to fix grant delays and crack down on ineligible payments, ensuring that those who need assistance receive it promptly and efficiently.
