Damaging Winds & Waves Expected Along Eastern Coast!
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a Yellow Level 2 warning for damaging winds and waves affecting parts of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal coastlines. This severe weather is expected to make sea navigation treacherous, and coastal communities are strongly advised to take necessary precautions.
Forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela warns of the potential impact: "These are expected along the coastlines of KwaZulu-Natal into the extreme eastern half of the Eastern Cape." He further highlighted the risk of damaging interior winds in the extreme western parts of the Northern Cape, potentially leading to dusty conditions and reduced visibility, particularly along the extreme west coast.
Cold Snap Across Gauteng, Limpopo & Mpumalanga
Adding to the weather woes, very cold conditions are anticipated on Sunday across coastal areas, extending inland to Gauteng, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga provinces. Residents in these areas should prepare for a significant drop in temperatures and take appropriate measures to stay warm.
Isolated Showers Possible
Thobela also indicated the possibility of isolated showers in certain areas. Be sure to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts from SAWS to remain informed and prepared for any sudden changes in weather conditions.

- Avoid unnecessary travel along coastal roads.
