Kenilworth Race Preview: LandOfTheRisingSun Aims for Hat-Trick
Mark van Deventer tips LANDOFTHERISINGSUN as the one to watch in Race 6. This upwardly mobile thoroughbred is looking to complete a hat-trick after impressive recent wins. While facing stronger competition and returning after a break, his talent and potential undervaluation by the handicapper make him a strong contender. Jockey Richard Fourie's expertise is another advantage.
Other horses to consider include Justin Snaith's PLEASE BE TRUE, a promising 3-year-old, and AIR RAID, a consistent performer over the course and distance. Keep an eye on SAN PEDRO for early speed and CAPTAIN WEST stalking the pace.
Warren Lenferna also provides his selections for other races, including:
- Race 1: MAGICAL PALACE (11), SARDINIA BAY (5), WAROFDYNAMITE (9), WORLD CHAMPION (8)
- Race 2: MEGHAN’S DIAMOND (2), NEBULOUS (3), HAZEL GREEN (6), WAIT FOR ME (7)
- Race 3: BEACH VERSE (7), CHICKASAW (8), PITERAQ (1), UP IN FLAMES (5)
- Race 4: RIKKITIKKITAVI (3), GOODNESSGRACIOUSME (7), MIRACULOUS (4), FUN ZONE (2)
- Race 5: ONCIDIUM (3), MISS NEW YORK (1), IM THE BUZZ (5), ANGEL’S OASIS (9)
Brentford Sponsor Hollywoodbets Under Fire for Targeting Kids
In other news, Hollywoodbets, the main sponsor of Premier League club Brentford FC, is facing criticism for allegedly targeting children with gambling advertisements. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) upheld a complaint regarding an ad on the esports website Virtual Football League (VFL) that was served to a user known to be under 18.
The ASA ruled that the ad breached the CAP Code and instructed Hollywoodbets to ensure its ads are appropriately targeted. This controversy comes despite Brentford recently extending their partnership with Hollywoodbets for a fifth season.
Hollywoodbets claims the ad was placed by an affiliate partner, Clever Advertising, who stated it should only have been visible before users logged in. The VFL also denied selecting the specific ads displayed on its website.
