The Premier Soccer League (PSL) is gearing up to celebrate the best of the 2024/25 season with the highly anticipated PSL Awards! The nominees were officially announced on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, and Mamelodi Sundowns have emerged as a dominant force, securing a staggering nine nominations.
Downs Stars Shine Bright
Mamelodi Sundowns' exceptional performance throughout the season has earned them well-deserved recognition. Coach Miguel Cardoso, along with players like Ronwen Williams, Grant Kekana, Teboho Mokoena, Marcelo Allende, Iqraam Rayners, Malibongwe Khoza, Gomolemo Kekana, and Lucas Ribeiro, are all in contention for top honours. Ribeiro leads the pack with three nominations, including the coveted Footballer of the Season award, having already secured the Golden Boot with 16 league goals.
Coach Cardoso's Debut Success
Coach Miguel Cardoso is a strong contender for the Betway Premiership Coach of the Season award, marking a remarkable debut season in the PSL. He expressed his gratitude and credited his team for their dedication and hard work.
"The nomination is a reflection of our work and the level of determination we showed throughout the season from both the coaching staff and players. I am happy for all these players for being recognised for their great work," Cardoso said.
