Haverfordwest County are gearing up for their second UEFA Conference League adventure in three seasons, facing Floriana FC of Malta. Manager Tony Pennock is confident that his Bluebirds are better prepared this time around, drawing on experience from their previous European campaign.
Bluebirds Soar Again: Haverfordwest's European Dream
Haverfordwest made history in the 2023-24 season, securing a memorable victory over North Macedonia's Shkendija in their first European appearance in 22 years. Pennock believes the team has a greater chance of making an impact in the Conference League this year due to increased experience and squad depth.
The first qualifying round first leg will be held at the Centenary Stadium in Malta, followed by the return fixture at Parc y Scarlets on Thursday, 17 July. Pennock emphasised the team's improved preparation: "We are better prepared than last time. A lot of our players were involved two years ago so they have that experience, and we are coming into this on the back of a really good season in the Cymru Premier."
Parc y Scarlets Ready for European Football

Financial Boost for Haverfordwest

This year, a meeting with Kosovan side Ballkani awaits the winner of the Haverfordwest vs. Floriana tie. The Bluebirds are aiming to make their mark and continue their European journey.
