Oasis Reunion: Did They Rock Cardiff Like It's 1995? Ja, They Did!

Oasis is back, bru! After 16 long years, Liam and Noel Gallagher reunited with Gem Archer, Andy Bell, Bonehead, and new drummer Joey Waronker to kick off their highly anticipated reunion tour at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. And let me tell you, the fans were amped!

Britpop's Back, Baby!

The atmosphere was electric. Forget subtle, this was a full-on barrage of 90s Britpop hits. From the moment they launched into "Hello" (yes, the one with the Gary Glitter sample – nobody seemed to care!), the crowd went wild. Then straight into "Acquiesce", a B-side that proved these brothers know their own legend.

Liam's on Fire!

Liam was on top form, stalking the stage like a lion. His vocals were powerful, putting to rest any concerns about his voice (he suffers from Hashimoto's disease). The crowd sang along to every word, especially during classics like "Wonderwall", "Don't Look Back In Anger", and "Live Forever" (dedicated to Liverpool's Diogo Jota!). Even Noel's guitar solo got the singalong treatment!

  • Hello
  • Acquiesce
  • Cigarettes and Alcohol
  • Live Forever
  • Slide Away
  • Wonderwall
  • Don't Look Back in Anger

The setlist was a trip down memory lane, ignoring the band's later, less successful years. This was pure, unadulterated Oasis, and the fans ate it up. No frills, just a juggernaut of 90s anthems delivered with passion and energy. So, if you're heading to one of their upcoming shows, get ready to sing your heart out, spill some beer, and relive the glory days of Britpop. It's gonna be lekka!
