Borussia Dortmund's Karim Adeyemi has revealed the secrets behind his thriving partnership with striker Serhou Guirassy. In a recent interview, Adeyemi highlighted the strong understanding and harmony he shares with the Guinean international, a connection that has proven crucial to Dortmund's success.
'We Simply Harmonise'
Speaking about their on-field relationship, Adeyemi explained, "I know Serhou’s strengths, and he knows mine. I always try to play around him so that he can control the ball, so I drop deeper and then feed him passes. In training, we practice working together and see what each of us can do and needs. We simply harmonise after playing together for a year.”
This understanding was evident in Dortmund's recent 2-1 victory against Monterrey in the FIFA Club World Cup, where Guirassy scored both goals, assisted by Adeyemi.

Beyond his partnership with Guirassy, Adeyemi also expressed his deep affection for Borussia Dortmund. The 23-year-old declared his love for the club, stating he could imagine playing for them for the rest of his career. "I’ve always said that I love this club. I was already a fan when I was a young player – my family too," Adeyemi said.
He further added, "When I just think of Marco [Reus], who gave everything for the club and has always stayed loyal, I think it would be crazy to say that I want to follow in his footsteps... I feel good here, and if I were to play for this club forever, I definitely wouldn’t regret it."
