Heerenveen Snaps Up Star: Kroezen Joins From FC Twente!

SC Heerenveen Vrouwen have officially signed Sterre Kroezen, a 20-year-old midfielder, on a one-year deal. Kroezen was a free agent after her contract with FC Twente Vrouwen expired, making her a valuable addition to the Heerenveen squad.

"Kroezen is fan ús!" SC Heerenveen announced, highlighting their excitement about the new signing. Kroezen had been with FC Twente since 2021 but struggled to secure a permanent spot in the starting lineup. She spent the last two seasons on loan at PEC Zwolle Vrouwen, where she made 22 appearances and scored three goals in the Azerion Vrouwen Eredivisie, including a memorable goal against her new club, SC Heerenveen Vrouwen.

Before joining Heerenveen, FC Twente Vrouwen also parted ways with other players, including Merel Bormans, Liz Rijsbergen, Daniëlle de Jong, and Kayleigh van Dooren.

Heerenveen have also secured the extensions of key players like Britt Udink, Roos de Haas, captain Fenna Meijer, and Elfi Maass, bolstering their team for the upcoming season. The club is aiming for a strong performance in the Eredivisie Vrouwen and believes Kroezen's addition will enhance their midfield options and attacking prowess.

Kroezen's Impact on SC Heerenveen

Kroezen brings a wealth of experience from her time at FC Twente and PEC Zwolle. Her ability to play as an attacking midfielder and her eye for goal will provide SC Heerenveen with a dynamic player who can contribute both defensively and offensively. Her previous goal against Heerenveen is a testament to her potential impact on the team.

What's Next for Heerenveen?

With the addition of Kroezen and the contract extensions of key players, SC Heerenveen Vrouwen are gearing up for a competitive season. Fans are eagerly anticipating the team's performance and hoping for a successful campaign in the Eredivisie Vrouwen. The team's management is focused on building a cohesive unit that can challenge for top honors.
