Technical Teams Working to Resolve Issues

Technical teams worked throughout Tuesday to resolve the underlying issues causing the disruptions. ACSA anticipates that full operational capacity will be restored by Wednesday morning.

No Impact on Other Airports

ACSA has assured the public that other airports within its network are not affected by the disruptions at OR Tambo International Airport.

ORTIA Travel Advisory

On Tuesday, OR Tambo International Airport issued a travel advisory via Twitter, alerting passengers to longer-than-usual queues at security checkpoints. Passengers were encouraged to proceed to security screening areas immediately after check-in.

Passengers are advised to check with their airlines for the latest flight information and to allow extra time for security screening when travelling through OR Tambo International Airport.
