Eintracht Frankfurt Issues Warning: Hugo Ekitike Transfer Price Set!

Eintracht Frankfurt CEO Markus Krösche has sent a strong message to clubs eyeing striker Hugo Ekitike: he's staying put unless their hefty valuation is met this summer. The German club is reportedly seeking €100 million for the talented Frenchman.

Ekitike's Impressive Season

Ekitike formed a formidable partnership with Omar Marmoush early in the season. When Marmoush left for Manchester City in January, Ekitike stepped up, ensuring Frankfurt finished third in the Bundesliga and secured a Champions League spot.

The 2024–25 season was Ekitike's most productive yet, bagging 15 goals and contributing eight assists for a revitalized Frankfurt side.

Premier League Interest

Ekitike's impressive form has caught the eye of several top European clubs, including Premier League giants Liverpool and Chelsea. The 22-year-old has become a prominent figure in transfer rumors this summer.

Frankfurt's Stance

However, Frankfurt are adamant about their valuation. Krösche stated firmly, "If the price isn’t right, then he will stay with us. We don’t have to sell Hugo." This suggests the club is in a strong negotiating position and not under pressure to offload the striker.

Chelsea and Liverpool's Situation

Chelsea reportedly inquired about a potential deal weeks ago but have since added Liam Delap to their squad. Liverpool, on the other hand, are rumored to have reached a massive agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for Florian Wirtz, making another expensive deal unlikely without significant player departures.

Injury Setback

Ekitike has been sidelined with a back injury during the June international break and will miss the U21 European Championships. This limits scouting opportunities this summer, but Frankfurt is still scheduled to face Premier League opposition in pre-season friendlies.

The Future of Ekitike

Will a club meet Frankfurt's demands? Only time will tell. But one thing is clear: Eintracht Frankfurt is determined to keep Hugo Ekitike unless a substantial offer arrives.
