PSG Ultras' Epic Barcelona Trip: Will They Ignite the Champions League?

Hundreds of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) ultras embarked on an epic journey to Barcelona to support their team in the highly anticipated Champions League clash against Barça. RMC Sport reports that a staggering 2,600 PSG fans will be present at the Olympic Stadium Lluís Companys.

A 14-Hour Road Trip for the Ultras

According to reports, five double-decker buses departed from the Parc des Princes on Tuesday evening at 9:30 PM, embarking on a 1000km journey south. This arduous trip, lasting over 14 hours, was undertaken by members of the Collectif Ultras Paris.

Past Memories Fuel the Passion

The ultras are seasoned travellers, fondly remembering their previous trip to Barcelona in April 2024 for the Champions League quarter-final second leg, which they won 4-1. They are well aware of the vibrant atmosphere that always surrounds matches in Barcelona.

Traditionally, the Catalan supporters gather along the Montjuïc hill leading to the stadium. Meanwhile, the PSG ultras typically march in a procession from Plaça d'Espanya, circumventing the four columns before ascending the steps to the stadium. It remains to be seen whether this procession will take place again before the game.

One thing is certain: the Parisian ultras will begin their return journey northwards immediately after the match, at around midnight on Wednesday. Their dedication and passion will surely add to the electric atmosphere of this Champions League encounter.
