PSV Shocker! Teenage Sensation Wanner Gets Starting Berth!

PSV coach Peter Bosz has thrown a curveball, handing 19-year-old Paul Wanner his first start for the Eindhoven club. This comes after Mark van Bommel was ruled out, forcing Bosz to reshuffle his attacking options.

Wanner, who arrived from Bayern Munich in the summer, has made three brief substitute appearances for PSV prior to this. He'll now get the chance to impress from the start, lining up in the front three alongside Ricardo Pepi and Ivan Perisic. Wanner is expected to operate from the right flank, with Perisic on the left.

There are further changes in the PSV lineup. Mauro Júnior steps in at right-back, replacing Sergiño Dest, who is sidelined with a physical complaint. The rest of the defence comprises Ryan Flamingo, Yarek Gasiorowski, and Anass Salah-Eddine.

The midfield, however, remains unchanged from the draw against Ajax last week. Jerdy Schouten, Ismael Saibari, and Joey Veerman will continue to anchor the centre of the park. All eyes will be on Wanner to see if he can seize his opportunity and make a lasting impression.

Will this youthful exuberance be enough for PSV to secure a vital win? Only time will tell!
