Stuttgart Nightmare: Elderly Couple Held Hostage During Robbery
A wealthy elderly couple in Stuttgart, Germany, experienced a terrifying ordeal when masked robbers broke into their home, locked them up, and made off with millions in valuables. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Thursday, has sent shockwaves through the quiet neighbourhood of Feuerbacher Heide.
According to police reports, three to four masked men forced their way into the couple's villa around 2 AM. They confronted the 80-year-old husband, physically assaulted him, and demanded he open the safe. After gaining access to the safe, the robbers locked the couple in a room and ransacked the house, stealing jewellery, cash, and other valuables.
The couple remained trapped for approximately 15 hours until their daughter, concerned after being unable to reach them by phone, arrived at the house and freed them. The daughter then contacted the police, who are now investigating the crime.
"The elderly couple sustained minor injuries during the robbery," a police spokesperson stated. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
This brazen act of violence has left residents of Stuttgart on edge. Police are stepping up patrols in the area and urging homeowners to take extra precautions to protect their homes.
