President Samia Suluhu Hassan is receiving praise for her leadership in improving social services and the lives of Tanzanians, especially in previously underserved areas. This announcement comes amidst a campaign rally in Laela, Rukwa Region, where Dr. Samia's dedication to essential services was highlighted.
Key Achievements Across Tanzania
Ambassador Emmanuel Nchimbi, CCM presidential running mate, emphasized Dr. Samia's focus on expanding access to healthcare, education, and transportation. He stated that the government is committed to building health centers, roads, schools, and classrooms, while also ensuring adequate medicine supplies in hospitals.

Specific Developments in Laela and Kwela
Significant progress has been made in Laela and Kwela, including the upgrade of the Laela Health Centre in collaboration with the Roman Catholic Church. Other key developments include:

- Expansion of primary schools from 104 to 118.
- Growth in secondary schools from 16 to 25.
- Recruitment of more teachers, increasing the number from 1,484 to 1,660.
Water and Infrastructure Improvements
The water sector has seen significant improvements with 15 new water projects completed, raising water coverage in Rukwa from 77% to 80%. Major infrastructure projects are also underway, including the construction of the Ilembo Bridge and the upgrading of 2.7 kilometers of roads.
Boost to the Agriculture Sector
Efforts to boost the agriculture sector have resulted in increased fertiliser and maize seed supply. Consequently, maize production has jumped significantly, contributing to food security and economic growth.
