Proteas Spinner Cleared! Subrayen's Bowling Action Deemed Legal!

Good news for South Africa's cricket team, the Proteas! Spinner Prenelan Subrayen, who was under scrutiny for his bowling action during the ODI series against Australia last month, has been given the all-clear by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Subrayen underwent an independent assessment of his bowling action at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane on August 26th. The results showed that the extension of his elbow during his deliveries remained within the 15-degree tolerance level permitted by the ICC's regulations regarding illegal bowling actions.

This is a significant boost for Subrayen, as it means he can continue to bowl in international cricket without any restrictions. He has already made two international appearances for the Proteas this year, playing in a Test match against Zimbabwe and an ODI against Australia. He will now be aiming to add to his current tally of five international wickets.

South Africa had a mixed tour of Australia. While they unfortunately lost the T20I series 1-2, they bounced back strongly to win the ODI series. Subrayen played a part in that victory, taking a wicket in the first ODI.

What's Next for Subrayen and the Proteas?

With his bowling action now cleared, Subrayen will be looking to cement his place in the Proteas squad for future international matches. He will be hoping to contribute with both bat and ball, and help South Africa achieve success on the world stage.
