Lincoln City is set to face Notts County in the Vertu Trophy, and it's shaping up to be an exciting match! Head coach Michael Skubala is giving debuts to deadline day recruits Adam Reach and Fin Barbrook at the LNER Stadium. Oscar Thorn will also make his first start for City, having recently moved from Colchester United.
Skubala has made a whopping nine changes to the side that drew 1-1 with Mansfield Town on Saturday. Lewis Montsma is also back, making his first appearance of the season. Sonny Bradley will feature despite his red card suspension from Saturday's game, as it doesn't apply to the Vertu Trophy.
Unfortunately, Justin Obikwu and Dexter Lembikisa are unavailable as they've been called up for international duty with Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica, respectively. Skubala expressed his optimism, saying, "We feel in a good place and we want to go out and get three points in this group. Adam comes in and we’ll see how he gets on, Fin is in a good place and ready to go. It’s great that we can get the team in straight away and have a look at them. We’ve got some good depth now, which we’re pleased about."
