Landman Season 2: Release Date, Cast & What to Expect in West Texas!

Get ready for more oil-fueled drama! Season 2 of Taylor Sheridan's 'Landman' is hitting Paramount+ sooner than you think. The series, set in the booming oilfields of West Texas, is slated to premiere on November 16th.

What to Expect in Season 2

'Landman' dives into the lives of roughnecks and billionaire wildcatters, exploring the impact of the oil boom on our climate, economy, and geopolitics. Season 2 promises to deliver even more of the upstairs/downstairs dynamics that made the first season a hit.

New Faces and Returning Favorites

The new season welcomes Sam Elliott to the cast, joining returning stars Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, and Ali Larter. Stefania Spampinato will also join as Garcia's wife. Thornton, who earned a Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of a crisis manager in the oil industry, will continue to be a central figure.

  • Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris
  • Demi Moore
  • Andy Garcia
  • Ali Larter as Angela Norris
  • Sam Elliott

A Paramount+ Hit

Season 1 of 'Landman' set records for Paramount+, attracting 35 million global streaming viewers and becoming the streamer’s most-watched original series. Despite this success and Thornton's acclaimed performance, the show was surprisingly snubbed by the Emmys this year.

The series is co-created by Sheridan and Christian Wallace, and is based on the 11-part podcast Boomtown from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly.

More Sheridan Shows on the Horizon

'Landman' is just one of several Taylor Sheridan series returning this fall. 'Tulsa King' premieres its third season on September 21st, and 'Mayor of Kingstown' will return for Season 4 in October.
