Dylan Dreyer Announces Separation: 'Today' Meteorologist Splits From Husband!

"Today" show meteorologist Dylan Dreyer has announced her separation from her husband, Brian Fichera, after 12 years of marriage. The news comes as a surprise to many fans who have followed Dreyer's career and family life on television and social media.

Dreyer, 43, shared the news via an Instagram post, stating, "For many years, I have shared my family with you all – the highs and lows, the ups and downs, all of the blessings and beautiful memories in between. I am incredibly grateful for the support and love you’ve given me through it all. For that reason, I want to share with you that a few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate."

Dreyer and Fichera met while working at Boston’s WHDH 7NEWS. Dreyer was a meteorologist there before joining NBC News in 2012. The couple married in October 2012 and have three sons: Calvin, Oliver, and Rusty. Despite the separation, Dreyer emphasized that they will remain close friends and dedicated co-parents.

"We began as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends. Most importantly, we will continue to co-parent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect for one another," she wrote in her Instagram post.

In a January 2023 "Today" feature, Dreyer and Fichera shared what they considered their “marriage secret.” They revealed that playing golf together was a key to their strong relationship. "Golf is the thing we do together. We have a couple of drinks, we laugh. We remember why we fell in love," Dreyer said. "Then we go home and it’s right back to family."

The separation announcement follows a challenging period for the "Today" show family. The news of Dreyer’s separation comes after a difficult year for NBC’s third hour “Today” family.

Dreyer's fans and colleagues have expressed their support for her and Fichera during this transition. The couple's commitment to co-parenting their children has been widely praised.
