The magic is back! Production has officially begun on HBO's highly anticipated 'Harry Potter' television series at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the U.K. Fans are ecstatic to see the wizarding world brought to life once more, almost 14 years after the final film concluded the original saga.
First Glimpse of the New Harry Potter
HBO has unveiled the first image of Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter. McLaughlin perfectly embodies the iconic character, complete with round glasses and the Hogwarts school uniform. He's joined by Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, forming the new golden trio. These young actors were selected from over 30,000 hopefuls during a massive casting call last fall.
More Cast Members Announced
The production has also revealed additional cast members in key roles. Rory Wilmot will play the lovable Neville Longbottom, while Amos Kitson will portray the often unpleasant Dudley Dursley. Seasoned actors Louise Brealey takes on the role of Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser will play the wandmaker Garrick Ollivander.

A Season for Every Book
HBO plans to adapt each of J.K. Rowling's seven 'Harry Potter' novels into a full season of television. The first season will, of course, focus on 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone'. Already announced are John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid.
The series is slated to debut in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max. With Francesca Gardiner writing and executive producing, and Mark Mylod directing multiple episodes, anticipation is sky-high. Get ready to return to Hogwarts!
