Georgetown Evacuations: Are You in the Affected Zone?
Several areas in Georgetown have been placed under mandatory evacuation orders due to the rising San Gabriel River. The following locations are under immediate evacuation:
- Riverside Mobile Home Park
- Shady River RV Park
- Goodwater RV Park
- Two Rivers Apartments
- San Gabriel Apartments
- Waters Edge Apartments
Residents of these areas should evacuate immediately to the designated shelters:
- Georgetown Recreation Center (1003 N Austin Ave, Georgetown, TX 78626) - For apartment residents.
- East View High School (4490 E. University Ave., Georgetown, TX 78626) - For parking only.
Liberty Hill Area Evacuations
Evacuations are also in effect for the following areas in Liberty Hill:
- Rio Bonita RV Park
- Bear Creek & CR 200 Area
The designated shelter for Liberty Hill residents is:

Road and Park Closures
Numerous roads and parks are closed across Central Texas due to the ongoing flooding. In Georgetown, the Austin Avenue bridges are closed to through traffic and pedestrian traffic. San Gabriel and Blue Hole parks are also closed. All City of Leander parks and trails, including Crystal Falls Golf Course, are closed until further notice. More than 100 road crossings were closed as of Saturday morning.
A bridge before CR 282 at RR 1869 in Liberty Hill has been destroyed by the flash flooding. FM 1431 near Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge is closed due to major flood damage.
