Long Island Fireworks Extravaganza
Long Island is pulling out all the stops for July 4th! Here are a few highlights:
- Greenport Fire Department's Annual Carnival: Head to the Polo Grounds at Moores Lane from July 1st to 5th (6 PM - 11 PM) for the Greenport Fire Department's Relief Hose and Phenix Hook & Ladder Co. Annual Carnival. Enjoy fireworks on Wednesday, July 2nd, and Saturday, July 5th.
- Orient Harbor Fireworks: Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 12th, at 9:15 PM. The Orient Harbor July 4th Fireworks Show, brought to you by the Orient Harbor July 4th Festivities, Inc., promises to be a memorable event. Donations are welcome and tax-deductible!
- Southold Village Merchants' July 4 Parade: Join the fun on July 4th at noon on Main Road, Southold, for the 27th Annual Southold Village Merchants' July 4 Parade.
Hudson Valley Fireworks & Festivities
The Hudson Valley is also lighting up the night sky! Check out these displays:
- Dobbs Ferry: Waterfront Park will be buzzing with games and music starting at 3 PM, followed by fireworks shortly after 9 PM. Note: waterfront parking is for Dobbs Ferry residents only.
- Irvington: Fireworks will begin around 9:15 PM (dusk) at Matthiessen Park, along the Hudson River. Remember the restrictions: no wheeled equipment (except strollers), alcohol, inflatables, open fires, portable grills, smoking/vaping, or tents. Leash your dogs or, better yet, leave them at home. Rain date: July 5th.
- Katonah: Enjoy a performance by the Westchester Symphonic Winds and soprano Carami Hilaire at the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts (149 Girdle Ridge Road) starting at 8 PM, concluding with a fireworks display. Rain date for fireworks: July 5th at 9 PM.
- Mamaroneck: As part of the 10-day Firemans Carnival at Harbor Island Park, fireworks will be held at dusk (about 9:15 PM) on July 4th. Rain date: July 5th.
- New Rochelle: "Spark the Sound: July 4th Fireworks" will light up Davenport Park on Davenport Avenue starting at 9:30 PM.
