Billy Idol Still Rocks! 'Rebel Yell' Tour Ignites Acrisure Arena!

Billy Idol brought his signature 'Rebel Yell' energy to the Acrisure Arena on his 'Nice Day to... Tour Again,' proving the post-punk icon still knows how to electrify a crowd. Kicking off his 90-minute set with "Still Dancing" from his latest album, "Dream Into It," the 69-year-old showed no signs of slowing down.

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of "Rebel Yell," Idol wasted no time diving into his hits, including "Cradle of Love" and "Flesh for Fantasy." He also included "77," a track from his new album featuring Avril Lavigne. While Lavigne wasn't there, Idol's backing vocalists kept the energy high.

Other highlights included a cover of Tommy James & the Shondells' "Mony Mony," along with "Too Much Fun" and "Ready Steady Go." Idol also acknowledged current events, remarking on the "world going to hell" before launching into a cover of The Rolling Stones' "Gimme Shelter."

A Nostalgic Trip Back to the 80s

The live production perfectly captured the essence of "Rebel Yell" and the 1980s. Music video clips played on vintage television sets, set against animated scenes like warehouse interiors flashing the word "Idol" and futuristic cityscapes, creating a truly immersive experience.

Steve Stevens' Guitar Magic

Idol's longtime guitarist, Steve Stevens, delivered a show-stopping Spanish-style acoustic guitar solo. He even teased the audience with snippets of Led Zeppelin songs, including the intro to "Stairway to Heaven," before jokingly stopping himself.

Guitarist Billy Morrison, who also plays with Ozzy Osbourne, added to the band's impressive lineup. The show was a testament to Billy Idol's enduring influence and his ability to keep audiences rocking after all these years.
