MTN drop notice say dem get serious glitch wey dey affect data bundle purchases and the 15% bonus data wey dem promise. Dem say, "While we dey implement the data offer, MTN get major technical issue wey dey affect data bundle purchases, including the data volume offer." E mean say customers no go fi buy data bundles for now. Ahh!
MTN dey beg customers for the inconvenience and dey assure say dem dey work sharp sharp to fix the problem. "We know say e dey important to stay connected and we dey apologize for the inconvenience," dem talk. Dem promise to give updates soon.
This wahala happen the same day wey all the big mobile networks – MTN Ghana, Telecel Ghana, and AT Ghana – suppose start to give better data bundles without adding money for consumers. Na the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations give dem the order.
According to the new rules, MTN, wey dem call Significant Market Power (SMP), suppose return ein GH¢399 bundle to give 214 gigabytes of data, instead of the GH¢350 bundle wey dem downgrade to 92.88 gigabytes. Plus, all MTN data packages suppose get 15% extra value.
AT Ghana and Telecel Ghana sef dey roll out their own upgrades. AirtelTigo users dey get 236 gigabytes for GH¢400 – instead of 195 GB.
