Ryan Loder Ready For UFC Qatar After Thailand Training

Former Ultimate Fighter winner Ryan Loder is gearing up for his next UFC fight at UFC Fight Night: Tsarukyan vs Hooker in Doha, Qatar. After a tough loss to Azamat Bekoev, Loder knew he needed to make some changes to his training regime. He's eager to showcase his improvements and secure his first UFC win.

Loder admits he wasn't fully prepared for his previous fight, despite being excited to compete in Des Moines. He took valuable lessons from the experience and is determined to come back stronger. "The loss was tough, but we always learn from that," Loder said. "I have more fights on my contract, and I'm relatively new to the game. Each time I'm out here, it's a whole different fighter."

Focus on Striking

One of the biggest areas Loder identified for improvement was his striking. To address this, he enlisted the help of UFC veteran Viacheslav Borshchev as his striking coach. Together, they embarked on a training journey to Thailand, working out of Bangtao Muay Thai & MMA. They dedicated their time to breaking down Loder’s standup game, focusing on technique and strategy.

Thailand Training Experience

Loder embraced the daily grind and the change of scenery that Thailand offered. He found the experience to be beneficial for both his physical and mental preparation. He is now looking forward to demonstrating his enhanced skills when he faces Ismail Naurdiev at UFC Fight Night: Tsarukyan vs Hooker.
