GNFS Orders Officers to Pay Training Feeding Fees: What You Need to Know

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) dey instruct recruits, cadets, and some serving officers to settle outstanding feeding fees wey dem accumulate during their training. This news dey come as a surprise to many, but the Service dey attribute am to financial constraints.

According to a circular dated October 9, 2025, and signed by the Director of Finance, DCFO Mark Brako-Appiah Jnr, the GNFS dey face funding challenges. The letter explain say, "Due to funding challenges, Recruits, Cadets, and existing personnel who went for training were made to pay something to subsidise their feeding cost for the period of their training."
