Singer Mangli's Birthday Bash Raided: Drugs, Liquor, and Legal Trouble!

Popular Telugu folk singer Mangli, known as Satyavathi Rathod, is facing legal challenges after police raided her birthday party at Tripura Resort in Chevella, near Hyderabad. The raid, which occurred early Wednesday morning, resulted in the seizure of foreign liquor, ganja, and unauthorized DJ equipment.

Cyberabad police acted on a tip-off, discovering that the event lacked official permissions. Approximately 48 guests attended, including several prominent figures from the entertainment industry. Cases have been registered under the NDPS Act and the Sound Pollution Act against Mangli, the resort manager, the event organiser, and one attendee.

Police are currently investigating the source of the drugs and verifying the resort's licenses. Videos from the party have circulated widely online, sparking public surprise and raising questions about Mangli's career. Initially, reports suggested the Telangana police confirmed the presence of drugs and foreign liquor. However, Mangli has since addressed the situation, clarifying that no drugs were found at the party.

Mangli Speaks Out

Mangli explained that the birthday celebration was a private gathering organised at a farmhouse at her parents' request. Attendees included relatives, friends, family friends, and her team members. While acknowledging the presence of alcohol, Mangli expressed regret for not obtaining the necessary permits.

"I was genuinely unaware that we needed permission for liquor consumption. Had I known, I would have obtained it. There was no foreign liquor, only local liquor. The police confirmed this and stated there were no drugs," Mangli stated in a video released to the public.

Manager's Drug Test

Reports indicated that the property manager tested positive for drugs. Mangli addressed this, stating, "He had consumed it elsewhere and some time ago, which the police also confirmed. We have no connection to it."

Regardless of the specifics, the police raid occurred due to the lack of permits for the event. Speculation on social media led to negative reporting against the singer, further complicating the situation. The investigation remains ongoing.
