Labuschagne: A Decade in Teal

Labuschagne, currently representing Australia in the One Day International series, is eager to rejoin the Heat whenever his international schedule allows. His commitment is unwavering, and he's ready to contribute with bat, ball, and in the field.

Last season, Labuschagne showcased his talent with a blistering 77 off 44 balls at the Gabba, his highest BBL score. He also played crucial roles in the Heat's championship run, including a vital 45 off 33 against the Perth Scorchers. His all-round abilities were key to their success.

Ready to Contribute

"I love playing for the Heat every chance I get. Literally every chance," Labuschagne exclaimed. "There is always something riding on the games and it’s my job to make a contribution every time, so it’s easy to switch on and get excited about the challenge."

He also enjoys the strategic aspects of the game, collaborating with the coach and players on tactics and planning. Whether it's with the bat, ball, or in the field, Labuschagne feels deeply involved in the team's success.

Afridi Joins the Heat!

Labuschagne is particularly excited about the addition of Pakistani superstar Shaheen Shah Afridi to the Brisbane Heat squad. "I'm also genuinely excited about Shaheen Shah Afridi joining us this season and, having faced him in international games, I'm rapt he's on our side instead of bowling to us," he said.
