LoL Season 3: Doom Bots Return & New WASD Controls?! Game-Changer!

League of Legends is about to get a whole lot more interesting! Riot Games is shaking things up with the upcoming Season 3, bringing back a beloved game mode and experimenting with a brand new control scheme. Get ready for a wild ride on the Rift!

Doom Bots are Back from the Grave!

Remember the terror and hilarity of Doom Bots? This co-op vs. AI mode, where you face off against waves of ridiculously overpowered champion bots, is making a triumphant return! Prepare to battle mutated Amumus with massive ultimates and face off against new additions like UFO Corki and Infernal Diana. And watch out for Mega Ziggs – he's capable of leveling entire lanes!

For those unfamiliar, Doom Bots debuted in 2015 and last appeared in 2016. They're designed to provide a challenging and unpredictable experience, with each bot's abilities changing based on the difficulty level. Get ready for some serious chaos!

WASD Controls: A Revolutionary Change?

After nearly 16 years of point-and-click dominance, League of Legends is testing a new WASD control scheme. This is a huge shift for the game, potentially making it more accessible to players familiar with other PC games. Riot believes that WASD controls will provide a "fresh yet familiar way to play" without fundamentally changing what makes League unique.

The WASD controls will initially launch in a public beta environment for an extended trial period. Riot is committed to ensuring competitive balance between the classic and new control schemes, so expect a gradual rollout to non-ranked, and eventually ranked and pro play.

Could this be the key to lowering the barrier to entry and attracting new players to the Rift? Only time will tell!

Patch 25.16: Season 2 Ends, Season 3 Begins!

Patch 25.16 is the last patch of Ranked Season 2, so if you're aiming for that Victorious Fiora skin, now's the time to grind! Season 3 kicks off on August 27th, bringing with it not only Doom Bots and potentially WASD controls, but also visual updates to the Battle Pass. The Battle Pass will now have 48 core milestones, compressed from 50, making it slightly faster to complete.

Get ready for an exciting new season of League of Legends!
