Armie Hammer has made some eyebrow-raising claims on his podcast, Armie HammerTime, including one about allegedly getting Johnny Depp 'super stoned' during the press tour for their 2013 film, The Lone Ranger. Hammer, known for his role in Call Me By Your Name, stated he was smoking "upwards of 15 to 20 joints a day" during that period.
Hammer recounted, with a laugh, that he "loved marijuana roofie-ing people" and "loved poisoning people." His friend, Ashton Ramsey, later introduced the story of Depp as "The most trouble that you ever got into was when you basically got Johnny super stoned."
According to Hammer, after the incident, he and Depp, 62, were kept apart during the press tour. "They never let me hang out with Johnny on the press tour after that," Hammer said. "They would always keep us apart. They were like, 'You two cannot hang out anymore.'"
Representatives for Depp have been contacted for comment. Hammer also reminisced about the lavish lifestyle afforded to him at the height of his fame, including private jets and limitless food, all paid for by the studios.
