Drafted out of Florida State, Timpson wasn't expected to make a huge impact right away, especially with the Fever adding veteran talent in the offseason. Timpson's patience and hard work culminated in a career-high performance against the Chicago Sky. She played a season-high 22 minutes, contributing 14 points on efficient 6/8 shooting, along with 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Her versatility as a stretch four proved crucial in the Fever's victory.
“It means a lot,” Timpson said about the coaching staff's trust in her. “You know, it just puts a lot of confidence in me, and also my teammates, I mean, they have my back and they encourage me each and every practice, each and every game, just to stay ready and stay focused. I just wanted to be who they need me to be out on the court.”

Timpson's impact extends beyond her on-court performance. Kelsey Mitchell, the Fever's leading scorer, has been particularly impressed with the rookie's professionalism and locker room presence. “She’s amazing,” Mitchell said. “One of the best rookies I’ve ever come across. The ultimate pro. When you have locker room culture happening, you need great people to make it greater, and I think we’ve got a good addition here.”
Coach Stephanie White has also lauded Timpson's ability to stay ready. “She's really done a great job of staying ready,” White said. “We talk a lot about staying ready so you don’t have to get ready. One of the benefits of having a deep team is if you don’t have it one night, somebody else does.”
