A grass fire near Salt Lake City's Fear Factory caused a stir Wednesday evening, prompting a swift response from the Salt Lake City Fire Department. The fire, which broke out near the popular Halloween attraction located at 666 W. 800 South, was quickly brought under control, preventing any major damage to the main Fear Factory building.
Firefighters deployed an aggressive attack, using significant amounts of water to extinguish the flames. While an outbuilding on the property was completely destroyed, and others sustained damage, the primary structure of Fear Factory remained intact. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all three employees present at the scene were accounted for.
The incident temporarily disrupted train traffic in the area, and 800 South was closed on both sides of the tracks during the cleanup. However, the road was expected to reopen shortly after the fire was contained.
