Ryder Cup 2025: Bethpage Black Ready to Wow!
The countdown is on! With just 77 days until the Ryder Cup tees off on Long Island, anticipation is building. The PGA of America recently offered a tantalizing glimpse into the massive transformation underway at Bethpage Black, promising an unforgettable experience for players and fans alike.
One of the most striking features is the colossal grandstand that will envelop the 18th green and the nearby first tee. This structure, meticulously replicated in recent renderings, will offer unparalleled views of the action. According to Ryder Cup Championship Director Bryan Karns, the grandstand will accommodate approximately 3,300 general admission ticket holders, along with around 200 corporate guests. Standing drink rails will also be incorporated near the top of the structure, providing a unique vantage point.
To accommodate the massive grandstand, the first tee has been moved forward by roughly 40 yards. This adjustment ensures optimal sightlines and enhances the overall fan experience.
Beyond the grandstand, the Ryder Cup is also constructing double-decker hospitality suites along the right side of the 18th fairway. These suites are strategically positioned back from the rope line, allowing ample space for fans on the ground to enjoy the competition up close. Karns also revealed that over 1.5 million square feet of tenting will be erected across the golf course, providing various amenities and services for attendees.
