Another notable junior golfer earning an invitation is Miles Russell, a Jacksonville Beach resident and the American Junior Golf Association’s top-ranked player. Russell, who won the Junior Players in 2023, has achieved numerous accolades, including AJGA Player of the Year, AJGA Tournament of Champions, Junior PGA, and Sage Valley Invitational titles. He even competed in his third PGA Tour event this week at the ISCO Championship in Louisville, Kentucky.

Other First Coast players invited to the Junior Players Championship include Tyler Mawhinney of Fleming Island, Phillip Dunham of Ponte Vedra Beach, and Lucas Gimenez of Jacksonville. Cameron Kuchar, son of PGA Tour player Matt Kuchar, also received an invitation.

Charlie Woods also recently competed in the 41st Nicklaus Junior Championship at Tequesta Country Club, alongside Kai Trump, grandson of former President Donald Trump. Woods attends the Benjamin School in Palm Beach County, Florida, which has gained notoriety for its connections to both Tiger Woods and Donald Trump.
