Details of the Incident

According to initial reports, the incident unfolded at approximately 10:45 p.m. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Authorities are currently working to identify the deceased, with the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office handling the identification process. The names and ages are being with held until family notification is complete. As of now, the identity of the pedestrian has not been released to the public.

At this time, there is no information available regarding potential injuries sustained by the occupants of the three vehicles involved in the secondary crashes.
