Parker McCollum Reveals Tracklist for Self-Titled Album

Parker McCollum has unveiled the tracklist for his highly anticipated self-titled fifth album, set to release on June 27th. The announcement, shared via Instagram, reveals a fourteen-track collection featuring a mix of original songs and covers, including a collaboration with Texas legend Cody Johnson.

McCollum expressed his excitement for the new album, stating, "Some of my favorite songs I’ve ever written and released." He also emphasizes the personal and authentic nature of the record. "It is the best thing I’ve ever done,” he says. “This record is honest, this record is raw, this record is one thousand percent authentic Parker, and it feels really good to get back to writing and recording songs like I always wanted to.”

Familiar Favorites and New Sounds

The tracklist includes several familiar titles, most notably "Permanent Headphones." This song, written during McCollum's early teens, has gained a cult following among dedicated fans through informal channels like YouTube. Its inclusion on the official album marks a significant moment for both McCollum and his longtime supporters.

Another noteworthy track is "Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues," featuring Cody Johnson. This is a cover of the classic Danny O'Keefe song, famously recorded by Elvis Presley, Waylon Jennings, and Dwight Yoakam, promising a fresh take on a beloved tune. Other tracks released before the album drop include “Hope That I’m Enough,” “Big Sky” and “Killin’ Me” and his hit “What Kinda Man.”
