Mark Guiducci Named Global Editorial Director of Vanity Fair

Condé Nast has appointed Mark Guiducci as the first-ever Global Editorial Director of Vanity Fair, a newly established position placing him in charge of one of the company's most prestigious brands. Guiducci, based in New York, will be responsible for the creative and editorial vision of Vanity Fair across all its global editions, including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Spain. He assumes the role on June 30th.

Prior to this appointment, Guiducci served as the Creative Editorial Director at Vogue since 2020, where he oversaw content strategy for the company’s flagship publication across various platforms, including print, digital, video, audio, social media, and live events. Notably, he spearheaded the launch of Vogue World, a highly successful new franchise that blends art, theatre, sport, and culture to revolutionize the presentation of fashion.

Anna Wintour's Endorsement

Anna Wintour, Chief Creative Officer of Condé Nast, expressed her enthusiasm for Guiducci's appointment, stating, "I grew up in an editorial household and have been surrounded by editors all my life. One thing I have observed is that the greatest of them are not fixed rudders but sails…That’s the magic of Mark, an energetic and creative editor at the center of his generation and a leader under whom Vanity Fair will grow in ways I can foresee and, no doubt, many ways I can’t."

Guiducci's Vision for Vanity Fair

Guiducci himself shared his excitement about returning to Vanity Fair, where he started his career. He stated, "The world today is spinning faster than ever, as the forces of Hollywood, politics, the arts, money, and style collide...At the center of it all, documenting the stakes and the spectacle, is Vanity Fair. My first job out of college was here and it proved to be the most extraordinary journalism school I could have imagined. To return now, fifteen years later, as global editorial director is a tremendous honor."

This appointment signals a new chapter for Vanity Fair, with Guiducci poised to lead the brand into the future, navigating the ever-evolving landscape of media and culture.
