FSU Legends: Winston & Greene Enter Hall of Fame! You Won't Believe Why!

Florida State University is set to honor its 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame Class, featuring two iconic figures from its football program: wide receiver Rashad Greene and quarterback Jameis Winston. The induction banquet, a celebration of their remarkable achievements, will take place this weekend at the University Center Club.

Rashad Greene: A Seminole Through and Through

Rashad Greene, a record-setting receiver for the Seminoles, expressed his profound gratitude for the honor. "It's definitely hard to put into words," Greene said in an interview. "It was something that I honestly didn't see coming. But for this to be happening, I mean, it's such an honor, because this place, this school, this university, just holds such great memories and a great time in my life. So to just be able to put the icing on the cake, man, it's a dream come true."

Greene shared that FSU head coach Mike Norvell delivered the news, emphasizing Greene's integral role in setting the standard for Florida State football. Greene's decision to settle in Tallahassee with his wife and three sons underscores his deep connection to the university and the city.

Jameis Winston: Leadership and Legacy

Joining Greene in the Hall of Fame is Jameis Winston, the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback who led the Seminoles to an undefeated national championship season in 2013. Winston, currently a backup quarterback with the New York Giants, is remembered for his vocal leadership and unwavering commitment to excellence.

"Jameis was a guy that was vocal and he was a guy that was action-based," Greene said of Winston. "For me, Jameis was the ultimate leader, because he not only said it and motivated you with his words, he also showed you how to get the work done, the standard of getting the work done. So he wasn't just a guy that was going to talk, he was a guy that was going to do the walking as well."

The bond between Greene and Winston extends beyond the football field. "To me, he's more than a friend, he's a brother," Greene added. "We spent a lot of time together during college, gaining trust. Our families know each other. So it means a lot to me being able to go in with him, knowing how our last two seasons at FSU were and the brotherhood that we built. It's just."

The induction ceremony promises to be a memorable event, celebrating the extraordinary careers and lasting impact of Rashad Greene and Jameis Winston on Florida State University.
