UH Football Expands Reach: Games to Air Across Western US!
University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warrior football fans in the western United States, get ready! This fall, you'll have more opportunities than ever to catch the action, thanks to expanded broadcast agreements.
Scripps Sports will be airing five UH football games on their local television stations, reaching viewers in key markets like San Diego, Denver, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. The broadcast schedule, which started in September 2024, included matchups against Portland State, Fresno State, Utah State, San Diego State, and Wyoming.
"We're thrilled to expand our coverage of UH football across more cities in the west region," said UH Mānoa Athletics Director Matt Elliott. "We recruit in many of these areas and we have strong alumni and supporters in this region. We are deeply grateful to the Scripps team for their partnership in making this opportunity a reality."
In addition to the Scripps Sports coverage, seven University of Hawai’i football games in the 2025 season will be televised throughout Southern California and parts of Nevada via Spectrum SportsNet, beginning with Saturday’s contest against Sam Houston.
“This is a tremendous step forward for UH football, with our home games now reaching fans in key markets across the western U.S., including places like Los Angeles and Las Vegas, where there are strong connections to Hawai’i,” said UH Mānoa Athletic Director Matt Elliott. “This exposure is invaluable for recruiting, strengthening ties with our current fans and building an entirely new generation of supporters.”
The remaining home games and road game at Colorado State produced by Spectrum Sports Hawai’i will now air on Spectrum SportsNet, available to subscribers across Southern California and Nevada, including on DirecTV. The November 8 matchup against San Diego State will be televised on Spectrum SportsNet LA. The games will also continue to air live throughout the state of Hawai’i on Spectrum Sports (Channels 12 and 1012 or Hawaiian Telcom Channel 89) or via the Spectrum TV App.
Additionally, all seven games will be streamed on the Mountain West app (available on Android and Apple devices, outside of Hawai’i only).
