'Vanished: What Happened to Vanessa' Podcast Launches
Starting September 16th, ABC News correspondent John Quiñones will host "Vanished: What Happened to Vanessa." This limited-run series delves into the tragic 2020 murder of U.S. Army soldier Vanessa Guillén at Fort Hood. The podcast explores the family's relentless search for answers after Vanessa's disappearance and the subsequent reckoning within the military. Expect to hear exclusive, never-before-heard interview audio from ABC News and "20/20"'s original reporting, plus new updates from the family. The trailer is available on Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Spotify, and other major podcast platforms.
'20/20: The After Show' Expands to Video
But that's not all! ABC News is also expanding its "20/20: The After Show" podcast into video form. Hosted by Deborah Roberts, this companion program will launch as a video podcast on YouTube starting September 29th, following the 48th season launch of "20/20" on September 26th. "20/20: The After Show" will continue to deliver deeper insights into each "20/20" episode with additional interviews and behind-the-scenes details.
Bonus Episodes Added to Limited Series
ABC Audio is also introducing a new format: bonus episodes for every limited series. Starting with "Vanished: What Happened to Vanessa," Brad Mielke, host of Start Here, will join series hosts to respond to listener questions and explore themes in greater depth.
