Oscar winner Jessica Chastain is set to star in a new mystery thriller for Netflix titled 'Heartland'. The film, directed and co-written by Shana Feste, known for her work on 'Country Strong' and 'Run Sweetheart Run', will also feature Oscar-nominee John Hawkes and country singer Carter Faith.
Filming for 'Heartland' is scheduled to begin at the end of September in Atlanta, Georgia, and Nashville, Tennessee. The production is a collaboration between Chernin Entertainment and Sandbox Entertainment.

Chastain will play Misty Jones, a former country star who reluctantly emerges from seclusion to investigate the disappearance of her niece, a rising young musician played by Carter Faith.
