Who are the Contestants?
This year, 52 incredible women are vying for the national title, representing all 50 states plus Puerto Rico and Washington D.C. Among them is Emma Terry, Miss Alabama 2025. Emma, a Leeds native, holds bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her community service initiative, “Stomping Out ALS One Step at a Time,” showcases her dedication to making a difference.
Miss America's Teen 2026 Crowned
In related news, Tess Ferm from South Carolina has been crowned Miss America's Teen 2026! Tess, a rising freshman at Furman University, received $30,000 in scholarships and will serve as a national ambassador. She will also promote her initiative, “From Fear to Freedom,” which focuses on food allergy safety and education.
Tess Ferm's Initiative
Inspired by her own experiences with life-threatening food allergies, Tess has already made a significant impact. She has educated over 2,500 students and teachers, helped install epinephrine auto-injectors in schools, and partnered with organizations like Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE). Her dedication earned her national recognition through the Teens in Action award and the American Heart Association's South Carolina Teen of Impact title for 2025.
