This prestigious recognition not only celebrates the students' hard work but also significantly enhances their opportunities for scholarships and admission to top-tier, non-profit colleges.
According to Hoboken High School Principal Robin Piccapietra, "We are thrilled that 34 of our students were honored through this prestigious program. We’re incredibly proud of our students’ dedication and academic excellence. This recognition not only reflects their hard work in high school, but also strengthens their opportunities for success in higher education and beyond.”
How Students Earned Recognition

To be eligible, students must meet specific criteria during their sophomore or junior year. This includes taking the PSAT/NMSQT in 10th or 11th grade, the PSAT 10 in 10th grade, and/or AP Exams by the end of 10th grade.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of B+ or higher (3.3 or above) by the time of submission.
- Rank among the top 10% of test takers in their high school.
- Qualify as a first-generation college student in their state.
- Be identified as a rural or small-town student in their state.
This achievement highlights the commitment of Hoboken High School to fostering academic excellence and providing students with the tools they need to succeed in higher education and beyond. Congratulations to all the recognized students!
