LARGO, Fla. – University of Miami linebacker Adarius Hayes, 20, has been arrested and charged with three counts of vehicular homicide and one count of reckless driving with serious injury following a May 10th crash that tragically took the lives of three people.
According to the Largo Police Department, Hayes turned himself in on Friday and is currently being held at the Pinellas County Jail. The charges stem from an investigation into a collision that occurred at the intersection of Ridge Road and Orange View Drive in Largo.
Investigators allege that Hayes was driving a Dodge Durango at a high rate of speed, reportedly nearly 80 mph in a 40-mph zone, and weaving aggressively through traffic just before the crash. The Durango then collided with a Kia Soul, resulting in the deaths of Jabari Solomon, 10, Charlie Solomon Rivera, 4, and Gail Price, 78.
