RFK Jr. & Hegseth's Pentagon Fitness Face-Off: Can You Beat Their Challenge?

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Pete Hegseth recently turned the Pentagon into a gym, facing off in a pull-up and push-up competition dubbed the "Pete and Bobby Challenge." The challenge, showcased in a video shared with Fox News, saw the two attempting 50 pull-ups and 100 push-ups in under five minutes, surrounded by military personnel.

The 'Make America Healthy Again' Movement

Kennedy's participation in the challenge coincides with his "Make America Healthy Again" movement, advocating for whole foods over processed meals. Hegseth, on the other hand, is pushing for a fitter U.S. military, aiming to ensure they are well-equipped to defend the nation.

The Challenge: Fit vs. Fat

Hegseth previously expressed his concern over the number of overweight individuals in the military, stating, "This is what happens when standards are IGNORED—and this is what we are changing. REAL fitness & weight standards are here. We will be FIT, not FAT." In the challenge, Hegseth finished just over the five-minute mark, defeating Kennedy.

Viral Fitness Trend?

The video also revealed Hegseth's personal touch in decorating the Pentagon with photos, including one of himself and his wife. The pair hopes their exercise concept will go viral, similar to the Ice Bucket Challenge, encouraging others to participate and share their results online.

Kennedy challenged Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, while Hegseth challenged Air Force Gen. Dan Caine and Fox News' Will Cain to complete the routine. The official challenge is 100 push-ups and 50 pull-ups in under 10 minutes.

Will the "Pete and Bobby Challenge" become the next big fitness craze? Only time will tell.
