Trubisky's Advice to Bears' Williams: HUGE Pressure, But Enjoy It!

Former Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky, now with the Buffalo Bills, recently shared some words of wisdom for current Bears QB Caleb Williams. During a joint practice between the two teams, Trubisky reflected on his time in Chicago and offered advice to the young rookie who is under immense pressure to perform.

Trubisky's Reflections on Chicago

Trubisky, who led the Bears to playoff appearances in 2018 and 2020, acknowledged the unique pressure that comes with being the franchise quarterback in Chicago. "All eyes are on you in this city," Trubisky said. "It's really a privilege, and there's a lot of pressure that comes with that... I miss that, and it's a lot of fun to be the franchise guy, especially in a city like this."

He emphasized the importance of enjoying the process, saying, "I only had it for 4 years. I wish I had it longer. Take it in, enjoy the process." Trubisky admitted that he didn't fully appreciate his time in Chicago while he was there, but now, with the benefit of hindsight, he wishes he had enjoyed it more.

Trubisky's NFL Journey Continues

Now in his ninth NFL season, Trubisky is competing for the backup role behind Josh Allen in Buffalo. He previously served as Allen's understudy in 2021 and rejoined the team last offseason after a stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bills remain confident in Trubisky's ability to step in if Allen were to miss time.

A Rollercoaster Ride in Chicago

Trubisky's tenure with the Bears was marked by both highs and lows. The 2018 season, when the Bears went 12-4 and won the NFC North, was a highlight. However, inconsistency and offensive struggles plagued his time in Chicago. Despite the ups and downs, Trubisky still holds a special place in his heart for the city and its fans.
