Dem go do three-day event to remember am, wey dem dey call “Celebrating 50 Years of Tsatsu Tsikata for the Ghana Bar – 1975 to 2025.” E go happen from August 6-8, 2025, for Accra International Conference Centre, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. everyday.
For the event, people go talk about Tsikata ein life, work, and how e affect Ghana. Dem go get conversations, memories, and reflections from ein students, work people, and friends from Ghana and abroad.
What to Expect for the Celebration
- Day 1: Dem go talk about Tsikata ein work for court, military tribunal, business world, and even when e dey prison. Tony Lithur and Thaddeus Sory, wey be ein students and lawyers, go lead the conversation. Goosie Tanoh, Presidential Adviser on the 24-Hour Economy, and Nana Appia Kyei, Director of Kosmos Energy Ghana, go join dem. Justice Emile Short, Ghana ein first Commissioner of Human Rights and Administrative Justice, go chair the session.
- Day 2: Dem go talk about Tsikata ein work for school. Ein students like Kwesi Quartey, Professor Martin Tsamenyi, and Christopher Quaye go share their experiences. Professor Raymond Atuguba, wey be Dean of the University of Ghana Law School, go give lecture about “Challenges of Legal Education in Ghana.”
